Dental Emergencies
What are Dental Emergencies?
A dental emergency can leave you in pain, discomfort and feeling incredibly stressed. Whether the emergency is more minor or serious, we offer quick and convenient treatment for all patients. In fact, we work with both new and existing patients coming into our office with emergencies and dental problems. We can provide treatment to adults and children alike.
Why would you need treatment for Dental Emergencies?
If you fail to receive care when dealing with a dental emergency, the problem can and will eventually get worse. The majority of dental problems will not fix and repair themselves on their own. A minor issue can get much worse with failure to receive treatment. This is why we recommend that patients come in for immediate care at the first sign of an emergency.
What are some common Dental Emergencies?
Regardless of age and whether or not you’re a patient, we welcome you into our office for care. We can treat you and the problem that you’re experiencing so that you’re able to get back to enjoying your day. Some of the more common emergencies we see on a regular basis include:
- Pain
- Gum swelling and bleeding
- Wisdom tooth discomfort
- Broken teeth
- Cracked teeth
- Lost or loose restorations
- Broken or cracked appliances
What happens during treatment for Dental Emergencies?
The appointment begins by sitting you comfortably in an examination room. We may take x-rays depending on the type of problem you’re experiencing. We then examine the tooth or area that’s bothering you. We provide treatment as needed and create an ongoing treatment plan to help with the emergency. If you have an infection or abscess, we’ll often recommend antibiotics before treatment is provided. It is important that you come into the office for regular checkups to decrease the likelihood of experiencing an emergency in the future. Emergency treatment is quick, easy and geared specifically for each individual patient.
If you have an emergency and need to be seen right away, call us now and we can get you in at your earliest convenience.
